COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 – There are about 84,000 on the current wait list for the vaccine. About 328,000 have received both doses of the vaccine. That will be 328,001 at 2:45 PM today.

A Village Neighbor researched where the vaccine is available and wanted to share with all of us. Virginia consolidated vaccine appointment scheduling, except for Fairfax County and some commercial vendors. Some of those vendors require you to book directly through their website and not through the county or state.

COVID-19 – County reports a significant uptick in the vaccine supply. A mass vaccination site capable of 1000 vaccinations each day is slated to open at the end of March at 5001 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria.

COVID-19 – All COVID-19 vaccine clinics are closed today due to the weather. Those who had an appointment for today will receive an email informing them of the cancellation. The cancellation notice will contain a link to reschedule your appointment for the upcoming week. No changes have been made to Friday appointments at this time.

COVID-19 – CVS will begin Covid-19 vaccinations through a new federal program beginning tomorrow. Only one of the CVS Pharmacies in county will be administering the vaccine. I can’t find where it says which one it will be, but it is apparently fully booked already.
