Volunteer Coordinator Needed – If we are to have a village wide yard sale, we will need a coordinator. It isn’t a difficult assignment, but will require placing and later recovering lawn signs along Rolling Road and at intersections within the village interior. Signs can be picked up from my 8131 Edmonton Court home and returned there for storage. And, delivering to participants a copy of our village map attached to a list of participating homes beside a general category of items to be sold. I will assemble the list and make photo copies for your delivery.

Fairfax County Budget - Executive Bryan Hill presented his Advertised (proposed) Fiscal Year 2020 Budget to the Board of Supervisors on Feb. 19. The proposed General Fund budget is $4.44 billion, a $156.9 million (or 3.67 percent) increase over the current FY 2019 Adopted Budget. Including other appropriated funds such as federal and state grants, the total proposed budget is $8.86 billion.

The proposed budget maintains the current real estate tax rate of $1.15 per $100 of assessed Real Estate value, but did you notice the property tax assessment on my property went up but almost $20,000 which will mean an additional $230 in RE taxes. It never stops; does it?
