Dear Village Neighbors / Friends,
Thought I should run this out since many of us have active bills with Republic to pay.
Republic Trash Bill Update – Effective 1 July 2018, county raised the rates for commercial trash haulers to use county landfills and transfer stations. In accordance with our agreement, Republic passed that rate increase on to us, their customers. That means $1.50/quarter increase for all. Here’s what the adjusted prices should be:
- Quarterly Rate: $75.50 + $1.50 = $77.00 ($25.67 per month) – did you catch the math error on the agreement form?
- Quarterly Senior/Military Rate: $70.35 + $1.50 = $71.85 ($23.95 per month).
Each of our agreements goes thru November 2020. Please remember that each of us have separate agreements with Republic based (I hope) on the rates we negotiated. We are happy to represent the village and you when they don’t play fair, but it still boils down to you dealing direct with Republic (703/818-8222). And, each agreement is still subject to additional increases for environmental reasons (county raises their fees for commercial haulers) or for higher fuel costs.
I am frustrated for not being informed, but now made aware as is our point of contact at Republic for HOA/CA agreements.
